The prospect of doing business in Indonesia was bright in the second quarter and the optimism is expected to continue to the third quarter. The business tendency index, an index to measure optimism level on business, the index for the second quarter rose to 103.88 from 102. 34 at the previous quarter. The index level of 100 means the prospect of business is stagnant, more than that means positive and lower than 100 means negative. For the next three months through September, the business tendency index increased to 105.95. In general, the condition of business in the third quarter is going to be better than that of the second quarter. Trade, hotels, and restaurant business sectors are forecast to have the highest business prospect.
